Horrible Venue
"I suppose the sound engineers did their best but there were many instances of terrible harmonics at certain pitches and they couldn't keep up with the wide dynamics of certain musicians as evidenced by brassy overload of the speakers. Live experience? The big screens suggested it and I'm sure the tiny figure on the stage was Joe Satriani was alive but only the people in the $700+ seats would be able to tell that. The AT&T Center was built for basketball and so was the sound system. I don't doubt it's perfect for announcers and screaming fans, but it's horrible for fine music. As it was, my wife and I were in the $200+ seats high, far from the stage, narrow even for slender hips like ours and with inadequate knee room. I threw away my money. I consider I won't make that mistake again."
